BDN Collaborates with Ivey and TSX to Advance Board Readiness

Last Thursday, Board Diversity Network Co-founder Lori-Ann Beausoleil FCPA, FCA joined the Ivey Business School at Western University‘s January social at the Toronto Stock Exchange for the panel “Joining an Influential Board: Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders.”

The event opened with keynote speaker Hari Panday CD, FCPA, FCGA, ICD.D, NACD.DC, President & CEO of PanVest Capital, followed by a panel expertly moderated by Karin Adams (nee Koopmans), CFA, VP Talent and Total Rewards at TMX Group. Lori, alongside panelists Saurabh Popat, Board Chair at the Empire Club of Canada, and Alexis Maquin, Executive Director of Le Club Canadien, shared practical insights on board leadership and governance pathways—exactly the type of real-world experience that informs BDN’s Accredited Board Director (AccBD) program.

The thoughtful discussion was followed by an engaged Q&A session, creating the kind of dynamic dialogue that advances board readiness and governance excellence.
